SAFER TRAVEL ON HOBBYS YARDS ROAD

Major upgrades to Hobbys Yards Road are underway.

Blayney Shire Council are carrying out the work with the total cost of the project $741,000.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole was joined by council’s operations manager Jacob Hogan to inspect progress on the improvements.

He said the funding is a joint 50/50 venture between the NSW Government and council, each providing $370,500 for the project.

Blayney Shire Council’s director of infrastructure services Grant Baker said the Hobbys Yards project includes road widening and pavement reconstruction to provide improved horizontal and vertical alignment.

“This includes repairs to a major reinforced concrete box culvert. The length of work is approximately 900 metres, from Hobbys Yards heading towards Blayney,” Mr Baker said.
