NEW ROOFING FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS

Schools across the Bathurst Electorate are set to receive new roofing thanks to the NSW Government’s $60 million Roof Replacement Program.

The program is designed for regional communities, improving our schools and supporting local businesses.

I’m thrilled that 25 schools in our Electorate will be included in this program, and also that businesses in our area can also benefit from the investment, helping to stimulate economic growth and support regional communities as we recover from COVID-19.

Local schools to receive roofing upgrades include: Oberon High School, Perthville Public School, O'Connell Public School, Portland Central School, Raglan Public School, Bathurst Public School, Blayney High School, Millthorpe Public School,

Rockley Public School, Kandos Public School, Capertee Public School, Blayney Public School, Meadow Flat Public School, Carcoar Public School, Lithgow High School, Oberon Public School, Cullen Bullen Public School, Mandurama Public School, Kelso Public School, Neville Public School, Lyndhurst Public School,

Rylstone Public School, Ilford Public School, Wattle Flat Public School, Denison College of Secondary Education (Kelso).

Schools do not need to apply as the program is prioritised by the needs of the school and community benefits.

The program will utilise the Local Trades Scheme, a new online platform allowing local tradespeople to engage directly with government to bid for maintenance work at schools in their local communities.
