Recreational facilities in Gorman’s Hill have been given a boost with the addition of an upgraded playground and nature space.
The NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play grant of $200,000 has delivered the facility, much to the delight of the Member for Bathurst Paul Toole.
Mr Toole caught up with some local children who were enjoying the new playground and gave it their tick of approval.
“The upgrade has given the local playground across from MacKillop College the lift it needed and is now a much-appreciated asset for residents and visitors alike,” Mr Toole said.
“What is special about the refurbishment is the all-inclusive sensory play equipment, but there is also a native nature walk with shaded seating now as well.”
Mr Toole said the Everyone Can Play program supported councils to build new or upgrade existing play spaces, to improve inclusivity across NSW and is a great win for our local community.
