Now we can work off the covid kilos together at Wattle Flat’s new outdoor fitness station thanks to $36,396 funding from the NSW Government.
Situated on Wattle Flat Heritage Land and central to the village centre the grant will fund additional equipment to complement the current playground. Equipment will include outdoor gym machines and playground structures for children.
Deputy Premier and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole delivered the good news in person to members of the Wattle Flat Heritage Lands Trust.
“This will be a fantastic edition to the current playground here in Wattle Flat. It will encourage locals to get out and about and exercise together,” said Mr Toole.
“The additional equipment will make this park a family friendly activity keeping the whole family active and spending quality time together. Parents can use the outdoor gym equipment while keeping an eye on their children playing in the playground.”
These grants are made possible by the Clubgrants Category 3 Fund, which reinvests a contribution from the state’s registered clubs gaming machine profits back into community projects.
