BATHURST LIBRARY RECEIVES FUNDING SUPPORT FOR NEW VAN

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has today announced a fantastic funding boost of almost $300,000 for Bathurst Library to expand their outreach programs with a new mobile library van.

Mr Toole said the State Library of NSW Public Library Infrastructure Grants of $298,588 will fund the purchase and fit out of a new van

“The van reaches parts of our community that otherwise wouldn’t be able to access the library’s services,” Mr Toole said.

“From villages to nursing homes and rural schools this funding means literacy and learning opportunities will be brought straight to their door.

“Libraries are the hub of a community and it is great to see this vital community service expanding and connecting with even more people.”
